Installation Instructions

RockWell window wells are very simple to install, due to their rigidity and only weighing 70 lbs. The window wells mount directly to the foundation wall. If removable bucks form the window opening, they must be removed before installation. RockWell recommends that the wells be installed with concrete anchor bolts.

Installation Steps:

1. Confirm the spacing between the top holes from side to side is approximately 71 inches.
2. Make two marks on the foundation 71 inches apart, centered over the window opening. Verify that the two holes are level. The marks should be approximately 7.25 inches below the desired location of the top of the well.
3. Drill two holes at these marks.
4. Place the concrete anchors in the holes and seat them properly.
5. Place the window well on the two anchors.
6. Place one inch diameter washers and the nuts on the bolts and tighten.
7. Use the remaining holes in the window well flanges as a template to drill the remaining holes.
8. Place the remaining anchors in the holes and tighten the nuts over the anchor bolts and one inch diameter washers.
